Safety and Trust
Last updated: March 12, 2026
Redoor includes practical safeguards to support safer introductions and collaboration, but users should still perform independent verification before sharing sensitive information or entering off-platform commitments.
Built-In Controls
- Protected authentication controls for private areas of the product
- In-app reporting for users, posts, messages, and suspicious behavior
- Block controls that prevent messaging between blocked users
- Project-level activity history and admin moderation workflows
- Account-safety tooling used to restrict abusive or high-risk accounts
Pre-Deal Verification Checklist
- Verify legal name, entity status, role, licensing, and primary contact information
- Request references, proof of work, permits, insurance, and other credentials when relevant
- Confirm assumptions for costs, scope, deadlines, capital needs, and approval status
- Use written agreements reviewed by qualified counsel before moving money or transferring rights
- Store critical contracts and compliance records outside the Redoor messaging interface
Payment, Document, and Data Safety
Do not use Redoor chat as a substitute for secure document transfer, payment approvals, or wire validation. Confirm bank instructions through independent verified channels, and avoid sharing tax IDs, passwords, API keys, or other highly sensitive credentials inside ordinary chat threads.
Meeting Safety
For first-time meetings, confirm participant identity in advance, use professional settings or verified video sessions, and be cautious with requests to move quickly to unverified channels. Do not share legal documents, sensitive financial records, or wiring instructions until you have validated the counterparty.
Common Fraud Indicators
- Urgent requests to move funds, sign documents, or bypass normal review without supporting records
- Refusal to verify identity, authority, references, entity standing, or licensing
- Guaranteed returns, hidden downside, or unrealistic timelines presented as certainty
- Pressure to move the conversation to untraceable or unofficial channels too early
Reporting Safety Issues
If you encounter suspicious behavior, use in-app reporting promptly and preserve relevant evidence such as screenshots, profile links, post URLs, and conversation IDs. We may preserve logs and other platform records as needed to investigate or respond to legal obligations.
For urgent threats, personal safety emergencies, or active criminal conduct, contact local emergency services or the appropriate authorities first.
